A previously unreleased 31-song concert recorded live at the Montreux Jazz Festival and an exclusive compilation; RE:CALL 6 features 41 previously unreleased tracks not included on the album.
Exclusive to each box are MONTREUX JAZZ FESTIVAL and RE:CALL 6.
The first was recorded on July 18, 2002 at the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival.
Its 31 tracks include a complete performance, barring one song, of one of Bowie’s most revered albums, LOW.
RE:CALL 6 includes 41 non-album versions, alternate takes, B-sides and soundtrack tracks, including previously unreleased tracks on CD or vinyl in 3-CD and 4-LP editions.
On Bowie’s birthday in 2017, the EP “NO PLAN” brought together the original songs written for Bowie’s Off-Broadway play, “LAZARUS.”
including “Lazarus”, “No Plan”, “Killing A Little Time” and “When I Met You”, all recorded during the (BLACKSTAR) recording sessions
The 18-LP box set also includes an 84-page book featuring previously unpublished liner notes, drawings, and Bowie’s handwritten lyrics.
Plus photos by Sukita (who shot the cover), Jimmy King, Frank W. Ockenfels 3, Markus Klinko, Mark “Blammo” Adams and others, plus memorabilia, technical notes on the albums by co-producer Tony Visconti and design notes by Jonathan Barnbrook.
