MARK KNOPFLER ” ONE TAKE RADIO SESSIONS ” Celebrating its 20th anniversary, Mark Knopfler’s One Take Radio Sessions is available on vinyl for the first time on Record Store Day 2025.<\/p>\n
Originally released in 2005, this 8-track EP was recorded at Shangri-La Studios in Malibu, California.<\/p>\n
It features live studio recordings made in a single take.<\/p>\n
From seven songs on Knopfler’s 2004 album Shangri-La.<\/p>\n
Including “The Trawlerman’s Song” and “Boom, Like That”, as well as “R\u00fcdiger” from his debut solo album, Golden Heart.<\/p>\n
Mark Knopfler, singer-songwriter, record producer and composer, is one of the most successful musicians the UK has ever produced and is often cited as one of the greatest guitarists of all time.<\/p>\n
He first rose to fame in the 1980s as the frontman of Dire Straits, which created many of the era’s most iconic songs, before embarking on a new solo career.<\/p>\n
Over the years, Mark has written music for several films, including Local Hero, The Princess Bride, and Last Exit To Brooklyn.<\/p>\n
He has played and recorded with a number of artists, including Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Emmylou Harris, Tina Turner, Randy Newman, and Chet Atkins.<\/p>\n
