Green Day announces a massive reissue of their masterpiece “Dookie” on the occasion of its 30th anniversary. The original album was released in 1994 and turned the rock scene upside down with a handful of songs that masterfully combined punk and melody. In our country, and with this album, the Californian group went from playing in squats to being played on formula radio without losing an ounce of credibility.

“Dookie 30th anniversary Deluxe edition” contains the original album, seventeen unreleased demos, three “outtakes” and two concerts; his legendary performance at the Woodstock festival in 1994 and an unreleased one recorded on June 5 of the same year at the Garatge Club in Barcelona.

The box of six vinyls contains plenty of memorabilia (postcards, badges, poster, paper airplane, car sticker and even dog poop bags). It also includes a 36-page booklet with unpublished photos and texts by producers Rob Cavallo and Bob Mehr.

“Dookie” has sold 20 million copies to date, won a Grammy in 1995 for “Best Alternative Album” and greatly contributed to defining the sound of the 90s. The album contains punk pop pills like “Basket Case”, “ When I Come Around”, “Welcome To Paradise” or “Longview” that have become the soundtrack of several generations.
