January 23, 2026 marks the 50th anniversary of the release of David Bowie’s tenth studio album, STATION TO STATION.
On the same day as its Golden Jubilee, STATION TO STATION will be released as a limited edition picture LP commemorating its 50th anniversary.
Along with a reproduction of a poster used to advertise David Bowie’s album 50 years ago.
This album is now considered a musical bridge between the “plastic soul” of Young Americans, from 1975.
and the experimental beginning of Bowie’s Berlin era, which was “Low”, from 1977.
The album’s first single, “Golden Years”,
was a hit on both sides of the Atlantic and one of five singles released from the six-song album (although the title track was only released on 45 rpm in France and “Stay” was a US-exclusive single).
