THE BLACK CROWES ” AMORICA” The Black Crowes have compiled the recordings from the Amorica era (1992-1994) into a new box set.
The reissue was overseen by the band’s founders and brothers, Chris and Rich Robinson, along with acclaimed producer and friend of the Crowes, George Drakoulias.
This box set includes the following: LP1 and 2: Amorica pressed on newly remastered 180g double vinyl taken from original 1/4″ production masters
The album audio is on the first 3 sides.
Side D includes 3 additional tracks from the Amorica era: “Chevrolet” (Taj Mahal version), “Song of the Flesh” (2025 Mix) and the instrumental “Sunday Night Buttermilk Waltz” (2025 Mix).
LP 3: Tallest fixes the stories behind the lost/discarded album Tall and the Lost Crowes version of Tall.
Under the guidance of Rich Robinson, George Drakoulias and Martin Pradler made new mixes of the Tall era recordings from Conway’s January 1994 sessions on 2″ and 24 multitrack tapes.
Tallest omits the songs that were re-recorded and ended up on Amorica.
Creating their own more sonically cohesive album that also includes 3 unreleased songs: “Title Song”, “Bitter, Bitter You” and “Paris Song”, an early instrumental version of “Cursed Diamond” that was worked on in the summer of 1993.
LP 4: Marie Laveau Sessions compiles an incredible recording session by the band from October 1992. It includes 7 songs recorded at Kingsway Studios in New Orleans, LA, all previously unreleased.
The band tells the story of how they would work on the songs while on tour and then go to a studio on their day off to record the songs.
An acoustic version of “Nonfiction” is the only song from this first session that ends in Amorica.
LP 5: Live at AIR Studios, London, UK October 25, 1994 is a 10″ with 4 live songs broadcast during the worldwide radio broadcast of Amorica.
Outside of radio broadcasts, these songs have never been available.
Along with the LPs, the box set includes an engraved envelope containing a fanzine with an interview with Chris and Rich Robinson about that era.

A 20″ x 30″ poster, a 2-sided Amorica turntable mat, and an Amorica car sticker.
The box comes shrink-wrapped in black to preserve the controversial album cover.
